Andalucia offers Free Health Insurance to International Guests

Updated: Jan 18

Andalucia region (Junta Andalucia) has created a travel insurance policy in collaboration with EuropeAssistance to give peace of mind to international travellers. This policy provides assistance in case of any complications due to Covid that may happen while you are visiting. Including: hospitalisation, prescription drugs, and even repatriation and extended hotel stays due to need to quarantine or other covid related issues. What are you waiting for to enjoy a week in the sunniest corner of Europe! This policy only extends to people staying in a fully accredited and legal short term rental, like our Sunny Corner and Honeymoon Suites!

And great news for us - as fully accredited and registered Tourist Apartment, if you needed to extend your stay in our apartment due to Covid reasons covered in this policy, you can get compensation from the Andalucia government and Europ Assistance! Waiting out your test results on this terrace, might not be so bad after all... Only fully accredited lodgings will qualify for your insurance, so be sure your holiday rental has a valid VFT permit and that they perform the required police check-in registry, otherwise you will not be covered. Many still do not do this, so be sure to ask. With our places you are sure that your arrival is recorded and all above board.

What if you need to isolate Read about it here: https://www.andalucia.org/en/travel-assistance-insurance

One of the best things about this policy, that makes so much sense, is that they are covering the cost of an extended hotel stay if you are denied travel because of testing positive or needing to quarantine!

COSTS FOR THE EXTENDED STAY AT A HOTEL BY THE INSURED AND COMPANIONS (INCLUDING QUARANTINE):

The insured's stay at a hotel following hospitalisation or under medical quarantine prescription is covered.

This is such a great initiative, I hope it will help reassure everyone who wants to discover Andalucia, to do so in 2021!
